Battery capacity vs. shots available

As a general rule of thumb a well respected battery fully charged and discharged (not entirely necessary in NiMH batteries) should give you twice the rating of it's mAh (milli-amps x hour) in shots.

i.e. a decent 2000mAh or 2Ah battery should give approx between 3.5-4.5 thousand shots.

this of course completely depending on the condition of the battery in question.

How long to charge a battery: [mAh of batt] divided by [mAh of charger] multiplied by 1.4 = charge time in hours.
