Event

As opposed to a Skirmish, an Event could be a large-scale game that lasts over 48 or more hours, such as a full weekend, that involves a large number of players in a special location, such as an MoD training facility.

Such large scale events are often closer to a military operation, and feature a well crafted (though quite often tongue in cheek) scenario of multiple forces engaging one another. Some such events have highlights, such as vehicles, weapons, or other 'attractions' not commonly seen at a Sunday afternoon skirmish.

Stirling Airsoft [1](a sub-division of Stirling Services[2]), are famous for organising such events, and most notably, their 'All Out War' (AOW) ongoing storyline.

Another large UK based event is Town Assault [3]. This event is famous for it's depiction of a 24 hour battle. Although the TA3 event was even longer. That event lasted for 40 hours.
