Eye Protection

Vital consideration when engaged in airsoft activities to ensure that no damage is taken to the eye resulting in temporary or permanent loss of sight. Eye protection consists of 3 main categories:

  • Shooting Glasses - These are the least intrusive on field-of-view and provide good protection from the front but may be less effective when shot from the side.
  • Goggles - Wrap around the eyes and so protect from side, as well as front, shots. Tend to be slightly more restrictive on field-of-view.
  • Full Face Masks - These consist (usually) of a pair of goggles set into a full plastic cover that fits over the entire face. Good all-round protection, but are generally very intrusive on both field-of-view and air ventilation.
