P90
From Airsoft Community Wiki
The P90 is a Bullpup SMG made by FN with the idea of being handed out to members of the armed forces that weren't involved in front line combat.
The main airsoft variants are made by Tokyo Marui, these boil down to the P90 TR that comes with a silencer and three rails to mount various lasers scopes and torch mounts etc on and the P90 red dot version that comes with a built in red dot sight in place of the rails.
The P90 is certainly an unusual looking weapon which means it doesn't always appeal to everyone's taste but it is very light, completely ambidextrous and highly compact with no long barrel Poking out the front which makes it an ideal CQC weapon.
For such a small weapon it actually has considerable range and can be fitted with a larger battery improving the already impressive rate of fire. This can be done by either buying a Butt extending attachment which can hold a larger battery than the mini batterys the P-90 was originally designed to hold, alternatively, the inside of the stock of the gun can be modified to accept a much larger J-battery.
The main fault with the airsoft P90 is not the gun itself but the highcap magazines which although have the useful feature of only needing to be wound once per emptying of the magazine are notorious for jamming at stupid and unhelpful moments. This is generally caused by the feeding wheel in the magazine forcing BB's back against the nearest screw fixing on the right hand side (looking down on it with the rounded end at the top) holding the magazine together, this can be removed with a dremel which improves reliability dramatically.
